Women’s League opened its first residence specifically designed for babies and children with developmental disabilities in March of 1995. Currently, we operate five children’s homes throughout various Brooklyn neighborhoods meeting the residential, therapeutic, social, spiritual and medical needs of children and adolescents with moderate to profound degrees of intellectual disabilities and various sensory, physical, developmental and medical challenges. Many parents view the Women’s League residences as extensions of their own homes, allowing them to simply act as loving parents while Women’s League ensures their children’s specialized needs are devotedly and comprehensively addressed.
For information about these exceptional group settings, to discuss the suitability of a prospective service participant, or to refer a baby, child or teen with challenges for placement, please contact us directly.Women’s League is at the forefront in the field of enhancing the lives of children (and adults) with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
In fact, a number of our residential programs are specifically designed to address the unique and varied needs of these challenged individuals.
As the proportion of service participants with autism continues to grow, Women’s League is committed to remaining at the cutting-edge of intervention and best practices in this area.
